C / THE CRITERIONA protected reference. An editable experiment.
SELECT → EDIT → COMPUTE → TRACECriterion only · All 114 suras

Change the text. Trace the consequences.

The Criterion only: your working copy on the left, the original Criterion on the right. Choose a sura, select any number of verses to edit, then press Compute. Selection, navigation and uncomputed drafts never produce measurement results or failures. Compute evaluates the complete draft modulo 19, including every recorded verse—even when the editor shows just one sura.

What counts as a change?

Leading/trailing whitespace, repeated spaces, tabs and line breaks between words are collapsed for calculations. Extra spacing never creates an extra word or a failure. Inserting a space inside a word or removing its only boundary is a real word-structure change, not harmless formatting.

Use the 28 bare Arabic letters shown below. Unsupported characters produce an explicit validation error; nothing is silently stripped or transliterated. Emptying a verse leaves an empty recorded verse; removing it deletes its structural slot. Adding/removing verses or changing their coordinates can alter order and boundary-sensitive operations.

Zero means divisible by 19 for that measurement. Nonzero remainders are not blanket failures. Text, construction, integer and remainder changes are tracked separately: an edit need not disturb every measurement, and unchanged remainders do not prove unchanged text.

This is a local experiment in this tab, not a modification of the evidence files. Undo/redo and reset are available. Reloading or leaving the page discards the experiment after your browser's confirmation. No uploads, downloads or new aggregate challenge score.

Only this button evaluates your draft. Editing selection does not exclude any records from the whole-mushaf calculation.

Choose verses and edit, or compute the unchanged Criterion. No calculations have run.

Add verse to selected sura

Selected-sura view displays the entire sura. Full-mushaf view uses six records per page. Sura and verse jumps work in both views. Coordinates set ordering; existing coordinates are never silently renumbered. Add at an unused coordinate, or explicitly change another coordinate to make room.
